In a Series circuit, current is identical everywhere (I₁ = I₂ = I₃ = I_total) and voltages sum to the source voltage (∑ V = V_in). In a Parallel circuit, voltage across all branches is constant (V₁ = V₂ = V₃ = V_in) and branch currents sum to the total source current (∑ I = I₁ + I₂ + I₃).
