A notice is a formal announcement written to convey important information to a specific group of people. In school and college examinations, notice writing has a strict format and a rigid word limit.
Box Border
The entire notice must be enclosed within a neat rectangular box border.
Name of Authority
The name of the issuing school or organization is written at the top center in CAPITAL letters.
The Word 'NOTICE'
Written in bold CAPITAL letters directly below the authority name.
Date & Heading
Date on the left, followed by a catchy, clear heading centered below it.
Body (Max 50 Words)
Must answer 5 Ws: What is the event, When is it, Where is it, Who is eligible, and Whom to contact.
Signature block
Signature, name in capitals, and designation (e.g., Head Boy).
